BEACHES
There are many beaches in the area that offer all the great activities a beach could, such as surfing, sunbathing, body-surfing and boogie-boarding, snorkeling, and wildlife viewing.
Here are some we recommend:
* Montezuma Beach is a one minute walk north of Hotel Moctezuma and is the perfect spot to body surf, catch some waves on your boogie-board, or catch some sun-rays (just be sure to apply your sunscreen - and reapply). Certain times of the month, you might even be able to catch a few waves on your surf board.
* Playa Grande is a big, beautiful beach where good surfing can be had, and you might even see turtles laying their eggs. It's a great spot for learning to surf and for seeing cool patterns made on the sand by baby crabs.
* Playa Las Manchas is a beautiful little beach great for snorkeling.
* Playa Los Cedros can be a great spot for surfing, but you've got to catch it at the right time. Ask a Tico or a local surfer for the best opportunities to surf this beach.
